Pierre-Louis Baron is a painter born in 1993, gradueted from the fine art school of Paris-Cergy and Beaux-Arts de Paris. Throught depictions of traces of contemporary humanity sinking into corners of nature, his work offers a calm, intimate, dreamy and meditative perspective on the tragic confrontation between civilization and the wild world, favoring the individual over the crowd, the tree over the forest, the rock over the vastness. It’s a way to make tangible what, shown on a large scale, seems too vast, complex and painful to genuinely engage with, resulting only in stunning and paralysing spectacles. Here, both man and nature appear in shared fragility, and the future held in our hands.
