This series was a therapeutic way to deal with my own body's struggle to conceive. I think creating these photos was my way of confronting all the emotions of feeling like a failure while simultaneously trying to stay hopeful. I think I wanted to merge myself with bits of nature and living things, as a way to feel connected to something bigger than myself. In making these images, I celebrated my body as still something worthwhile and beautiful and useful. Still alive, and still breathing.
