Through painting and sculpture my practice addresses haptic sensations and the representation and embodiment of touch. I create a space in which desire, abjection and the digital and real body are in play. I am interested in the pleasure of flesh and the way that that translates into our desire for our communication devices, and our tactile relationship to industrial materials. I explore mediated corporeality at turns rendering the body into an abject and sensuous landscape filtered through myriad screens. My practice responds to femininity, queerness and how that can be pursued through theatrical color and materiality. I am searching for a new system of pleasure that is both seductive and repulsive and cultivates an abject experience.
