I create photographs by setting up scenes and gestures that explore interactions between people or with themselves, often describing them as records of duets. This metaphorically reflects the invisible and unarticulated tension within relationships, drawing on Freud’s concept of the "uncanny." My personal experiences as an Asian woman and sexual minority living abroad deeply influence my work. Confronted with societal gender paradigms and a pervasive sense of psychological alienation, I aim to explore, through various characters and scripts, a distinct psychological experience: how we come to understand individual dilemmas and the dominance of subjectivity; how humor can serve as a tool to reconsider the feminist paradigm; and, more broadly, what it means to exist as a woman in the ever-evolving context of contemporary society.
