I am a self taught artist and mainly paint in oils. All of my paintings are created with love and care from my studio in Cotgrave. I love travelling and documenting nature, seascapes, skies, harbours, trees and flowers. The places I visit live long in my memory until I am ready to bring them back to life on canvas with my own interpretation. I start the artwork by creating a suggestion of the mark using acrylic, gesso or polyfilla and then cover it with many layers of oil paint until I am happy with it. Some paintings take a few hours, some a couple of days and others a few weeks as I live with the painting and constantly add changes to make sure I have captured everything I wanted.
