My name is Kyle Jeffers, a photographer from Hamilton, Canada. I find myself drawn towards shapes, lines and shadows as they can make an image be so simple and yet still be interesting. I have always been inspired by the work of KangHee Kim and how she uses fragments of landscapes to make fascinating images. The concept of my series was to create simplistic collages by using 2 separate images that have similar attributes to generate one compelling image. The process in creating these collages was finding images that had similar lines, shapes, colours or textures. These elements were used to help combine the images and find interesting ways to make them complement each other. The overall goal of my series was to produce a new perspective of how everyday life could be manipulated in a subtle way to make it seem surreal.
