COAL BUST OF AUSTRALIAN PRIME MINISTER, SCOTT MORRISON, INSTALLED ALONGSIDE BRONZES OF FORMER P.M.s.
A week out from the Australian election, experimental activist organisation, ROUSER, covertly installed the creepy coal bust of Scott Morrison on Prime Ministers Avenue.
ROUSER commissioned artist, Louis Pratt, to create ‘Coal Morrison’ and memorialise the Morrison government’s lethal commitment to coal.
Coal Morrison was sculpted to capture the moment in 2017 when Morrison smuggled a lump of coal into parliament and proclaimed: “This is coal. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be scared. It won’t hurt you.”
The coal bust is intended to keep front-of-voters’-minds the Australian government’s lack of urgent, tangible climate action.
