Public domain mugshots by Alphonse Bertillon in the 1890's provided by The Met. It was my intention to impose a level of clemency on these individuals who have been displayed as criminals for over a century. Using GAN/AI the photographs have been reinterpreted to reflect an alternative perspective on who these individuals may have been.
