Los Angeles based artist, Rian Calhoun, draws subjects that include the female figure, vintage cars and motorcycles, and other symbols of nostalgia that are reminders of where she came from and what she loves. Born in rural Pennsylvania, she grew up with a fascination with motorcycles and vintage cars from her Dad who owned a 1970 Firebird and several motorcycles. Starting to ride dirt bikes with her brother at the age of nine, Rian grew an immense appreciation for motorcycles and has not left her since. From trips to the forest, being out amongst huge desert rocks, and discovering California motorcycle culture, Rian draws her inspiration from both symbols of her past while discovering new ideas through travel.
