I’ve become best friends with a very large set of coloured pencils, using them to create super large and super high realism art works.
The scale of the works play a big part, blowing them up to the point where I’m detailing what the naked eye can’t see in real size. The subject becomes somewhat altered when the threads of a carpet or jaggard edges of the type become points of interest. It changes the style from merely being confused with a photo, to slightly obscene in its own sense. I’m not at all trying to trick the eye, more so presenting what the eye cannot or has not seen.
