I was forced to use collage and embroidery, an element typically linked to the feminine, as a technique and tool to censor my pieces, since the naked body was censored in social networks to advertise it. In this exploration i’ve Created a serie of pieces that lately I named: ‘censored Embroidery’.
"censored embroidery" censors the body in an opposite act, as it highlights the nudity that is meant for censorship with a color block as a main element that compose the nudity of image.
I see my artwork ‘Censored Embroidery ‘ it's a contemporary view of how to apply restrictions using typical embroidery techniques with a new meaning. In some artworks, meaning of censored face, is an analogy of consumption of naked bodies that lends itself to anonymous and clandestine consumption in social networks if it has no identity.
