The Canon AE-1 was my first film camera. I was very inexperienced in film at the time, but decided I wanted to try out something simple. The first real photo series I captured with it was called Charley’s Month, which documented my sister Charley after she had been diagnosed with Epilepsy and hospital bed-ridden for 2 weeks. It was shot from the perspective of my other sister, Lucy. This particular photo means a lot to my family and I, as this was Charley at her most vulnerable and raw state.
