Balance: the energy of vivid color with the entropic state of memory, as if a shock of color may bring a memory closer to current.
Narrative: built from a series of layers; as they are laid out on canvas (or board, or surface, or... ) something is always just a bit "off" as it often happens when stories are repeated. That distortion of information, or what lies in between, is what I find most interesting.
Elements: combining the altered photo- the tangible- the paint- the emotion- becoming thin layers that seep into one another. Then end result is that of old photos, light leaks, broken down imagery that changes how the original image was intended to be seen.
