Each piece is a pen and ink illustration of my hometown (Buffalo NY). I have always felt like an outsider in Buffalo however there is no denying the beauty of the architectural landscape of the city even in it's more decrepit and desolate pockets. Much of the art that focuses on Buffalo is of popular landmarks the locals love such as city hall and our turn of the century electric tower. I did include many of these buildings, however, most of my pieces focus on buildings that I feel have long been neglected. I like the gas off signs, the boarded up windows, the old houses from the East and West sides that are ignored because they are in the wrong neighborhoods or unexciting parts of town. I like drawing corner stores as much as I do church steeples and I try to give these structures as much love and attention
