Bob Eige is best known for the groundbreaking way he uses a 3D fractal-based graphics program combined with Photoshop. The richly colored and very finely detailed paintings reflect his interest in cosmology, Zen and space exploration. He is an emerging, self-taught artist currently living in the Sierra Foothills of California. His childhood inspirations in art included frequent visits with his family to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He says that art is in his family genes — his grandmother’s cousin was the famous cubist painter Max Weber.
Eige’s work ranges from abstract, to sci-fi fantasy. Some have a kinship with Fantastic Realism. By bringing forth an inspiring and positive vision he hopes to encourage us during these dark times.
