zhijun he, born in China, is a multimedia designer and illustrator. When she was young, her parents sent her to study instruments and painting. There she developed an interest for art. She has studied in School of visual arts, where she obtained her bachelor's degree in illustration. During her college years, she explored different mediums of painting, including watercolor, acrylic, and oil. Her works range from graphic design, photography to illustrations. She enjoys exploring the relationship between Chinese women and the society.
In the series of Blade in Crimson, she express what Chinese female suffers in a patriarchal society. Red color runs through the four works in order to point out the problem, also the sword that pierces to women.
