This series began in February 2021 and was inspired by the Black Lives Matter Movement which exploded with the George Floyd protests in 2020, in the midst of the pandemic; it is on-going.
My intention is to educate myself and others on the role played by African Americans in the history of the 'United Snakes of America'-
This history- our history- has been swept under the continental American rug for far too long;
Connecting the threads of past struggles to our struggles today, so that we may learn from the lessons of the past and take our destinies into our own hands!
A sleepy giant slowly awakens...
