I grew up in Beirut with a fascination for the city and the stories that surround me. Passionate about topics related to visual culture and identity, my pictures combine a spontaneous, snap-shot aesthetic with social portraiture. While documenting intimate moments and the fluctuation between personal and the interpersonal narratives, my work holds a therapeutic diaristic function.
In the spirit of form-follows-function, my photography is induced with storytelling, second-hand feelings and leaves a margin for collaboration and mistakes. On a constant quest for the idea of home (away from home), I find some of it in people, as they let me into their world even for a brief moment, blurring the line between fact and fiction through telling or re-telling a story.
