Crystal Garcia is a visual artist born and raised in Miami, FL. She attended Florida International University where she received her BA in History and Minor in Art as well as her MA in History. She uses various media in my work but prefers acrylic paint, watercolor, and markers. She is heavily influenced by her travels and the tropical surroundings of South Florida.
This watercolor series was primarily created during quarantine when I was working from home. It represents the beauty and joy of ordinary moments. Some of these happy scenes show my home, my dog, and the banana plants in my yard. Other scenes represent my love of nature and the joy of being outside by the ocean.
