When I was little I had a very big obsession with my pillow. It was a lumpy white pillow with a very old blue plaid cover and no matter how destroyed it was, I refused to let my parents get me a new one. Once I started hitting puberty, I started leaving my pillow home when I went away. Therefore, to me to “grow up” meant to stop caring about my pillow. That is why this project is titled “Not without my pillow”.
This book is a personal exploration into my childhood in a specific point of view, as it is mainly focused on educational spaces. I spent a month revisiting my childhood. I went back to my old preschool, highschool and sixth form college, documenting the spaces I used to spend so many days of the year in.
