My work is inspired by the people around me. A subculture rising from the the dirt of an unstable political climate in America. Portraits that highlight the rise of queer youth and the strength of femininity painted in struggle and fruit. The struggle that comes with mental illness and rising above it in glory is what I try to translate. I mold my photos and films to pose a reflection of myself in my subjects. Finding gold in the dirt. I shoot spontaneously without striving for perfection. The people I take photos of are not influencers or models or seen in popular culture, there is no facade.
