This portrait is from a series I am currently working on, "The Farm." It's about my time living in a house in Buda, Texas, just a few miles south of Austin. The farm was in a secluded property on 7 acres of field and forest. You could walk down to a beautiful sunny creek and you could only hear off in the distance the sound of cars driving on the near by freeway. I fell in love at the farm. This portrait is of my partner. The farm had many people come and go, stay a few nights and usually leave a few items scattered around. This time a friend left his rear view mirror in the front lawn. My partner walk through the doorway and the light hit him just right so I stopped him to take this portrait.
