Thomas Nguyen is a painter that started earlier this year in January of 2025. He explores the concept of loneliness, solitude, and alienation. He currently is serving in the U.S. military allowing him to experience different dimensions of cultures, such as South Korea and Germany, and what it means to be an individual in this dynamic world. Alienation can be defined as the state or experience of being isolated from a group or an activity to which one should belong or in which one should be involved. He believes this is can become the natural state of humans with current economic, political, social conditions. He mainly paints acrylics with marker pads taped together due to accessibility, frugality, and time constraint.
