These are some portraits and stills of my in-laws and their neighborhood. My husband and I have been married for three years and this past summer we visited his family in Nothern California for my sister-in-law's graduation. I have always thought of it as a safe haven in comparison to the feelings of anxiety that I build when visiting my own side of the family. There is a sentiment of customs and traditions without being overbearing or imposed. There's also no better sunlight than the California coast.
