Photography became my main source of expression a long time ago.
The need to capture or preserve a moment comes from my experience with loss in my life.
From that my art has always been the context of two main emotions within my mind, shown through juxtaposition. My need to document that which will someday be gone, alongside my feelings
as a woman and our complexities which inform who we are as individuals and a collective.
It is from these core identities and the addition of my strong connection with nature my photos have evolved.
Nature is often forcing us to see its value and deep intertwinement in the connectivity to life, even if we try to look away as are women, within the male constructs which are restricting us, even trying to hide or erase our voice, our values, our freedoms.
Nature is fleeting, as is life.
