When taking these photos I strived to capture the life of a college student living in squalor barely making enough money to hold onto his living arrangements. This life brings bouts of extreme depression and creates the perfect environment for alcohol and cigarettes to sneak in. My goal is to make the viewer think about the thousands of college students trying desperately to live in a society where the only job opportunities available pay them minimum wage while simultaneously putting themselves tens of thousands of dollars in debt for a degree that doesn't even guarantee them a job after graduation.
