This is a photography project depicting life along the Acarigua River, where the community faces daily challenges yet strives for survival. It documents the vitality and constant struggle while highlighting severe environmental issues caused by resource exploitation, leading to erosion and landslides. As a native, this project is personal, aiming to showcase community resilience and raise awareness about protecting our environment. Despite living in Europe now, I show our origin doesn't define destiny. It's a tribute to a community facing human and environmental challenges, aiming to inspire positive change and remind the world that, despite adversity, beauty and dignity exist in Acarigua.
