The type of work that I tend to do is real, tangible stories and I like things to be as close to reality as possible. I work primarily with film photography because it’s the most realistic outcome in terms of colors, emotions, and mood, and because my style is very raw and authentic.
I’m interested in anything that has to do with the social conditions of the spaces I explore, documenting subcultures, cultural changes, and minorities. My work is honest. What I see is what I give. It is raw, real, colorful, and intimate.
I enjoy the tactileness of the analog process, from loading the film to developing the images. It’s easier to capture an emotion through analog photography. In digital, you have to recreate the colors, in analog the colors are there already.
