Abandoned West by William Mark Sommer, is a documentation of abandoned historical buildings and places that were just left to fall to the dust of time. Each of these places have a story to tell, from the way they came to be, to the reason they were left, to even his personal experiences around them. This series has taken him down the road less traveled going all around the west. He found an obsession in creating this body of work traveling every weekend all over the western states documenting the countless places that the road brings him.
