I recently started taking up calligraphy with no knowledge of writing Chinese, and found that the philosophy and beauty of the ancient art form had seeped into every aspect of my personal art.
I approach my work as shedding the weight of being. It is a dance in formlessness. Like in calligraphy, breath and space is equally as important as the subject matter itself.
