This series of triptychs each represents a specific action, as object, method and finally concept. Rotate: a faceless clock with rotating hands, an bingo roulette, a disheveled clown sitting alone in a diner. In the first instance the rotation is literal, in the second the rotation is a means to an end, and in the third the rotation is the juxtaposition of this clown with any preconceived form of clown as understood by an audience, in this last case the rotation takes place not within the frame but within the audience.
This is an ongoing work. As the photographic triptychs this body divided into object method and concept, the photographs are the objects in a large triptych, accompanied by a work of non-fiction and a work of fiction.
