3/8 is a project about surfaces.
It shows what can be below the surface.
Behind the surface. Beyond the surface.
These two bodies mix, overlap, hide behind each other until they
discover who they really are. From an extra-subjective point of view, slowly the lens detaches itself from my father’s skin and eyes while showing a second person, a second figure: my mother.
She’s lost, defenceless, almost detached from the environment in which she is placed. She is the only one of the two who looks towards the lens. She has something to say, she knows something that others don’t, and she keeps it painstakingly to herself.
Something of my own, too.
