This new collection of prints explores ways old imagery found around the world can be combined in new ways to create unique compositions and art works. The idea stems from many years of making collages from photos taken over the years found in old magazine and comic strips. For me this explorations gives a new level of exploration that has an element of discovery.
When I'm making these works, I never know how images might go together. But when sitting down with thousands of reference images, and playing around with different combinations, I slowly discover new ideas and pieces of work.
For me, this is a form of play. Something I think that is very important in making art.
