A deeply personal and therapeutic project by photographer Alfonso Bricegno. Growing up in the Haute Couture Atelier of his mother in Venezuela, Bricegno developed an appreciation for aesthetics and the pursuit of precision. After finishing his university studies, he emigrated to Europe where he began to explore the world of photography and attend the School of Fine Arts of Brugge, Belgium. His work focuses on documentary and a sense of place. “The Promised Night” is a series driven by an “irresistible urge to wander through the night, while the world hides away”:
“Through solitary landscapes, I sought to confront my fears, traumas, and the darkness within me. This body of work explores solitude, mysticism, and nostalgia, capturing the quiet moments where nature, under the moon and stars, becomes a mirror of my emotional turmoil. It is a journey of self- discovery, a visual therapy where the purity of animals offers hope, showing me that fear is not something to avoid, but to face.”
