Since his last feature back in 2019, Spanish artist Aryz has continued to install his larger-than-life murals in various public spaces throughout Europe. With a fascination for the way his works interact with the surrounding architecture, Aryz finds freedom and enjoyment in the making of his large-scale, place-based installations. Though his murals require a different level of forethought and preparation than his smaller works, he explains that working on a larger scale allows him to be less careful, focusing on the bigger picture instead of the minute details. He currently splits his time between both practices, creating both large installations and smaller paintings.
