Paris, France-based photographer Edouard Jacquinet explores the visual vernacular of office environments in his series, “Marguerites.” Published as a photobook by Art Paper Editions, “Marguerites” is as much an exercise in observation as it is a documentary project. “Rather than undertaking an unveiling, explanatory, or compassionate mission, I aim at creating a kind of ideal readiness, both mental and physical, for the act of perception,” explains Jacquinet. His images offer fragments of a whole — “pieces of a puzzle that doesn’t need to be resolved.” Together, they make up an open-ended portrait of curiosity and the subtle moments that pique his interest, leaving behind more questions than answers.
