A selection of images by London-based Norwegian artist Nora Nord. Working primarily in photography, though spanning mediums of fashion, writing, sculpture, and installation, Nord’s work is informed by documentary processes and addresses themes of mental health and sexuality. Recent projects include a series of self-portraits made with her partner, Heather Glazzard, born from a desire to see couples who look like them represented, and a series of portraits dismantling stereotypes and exploring the nuances of attention deficit disorder (ADD). Of the latter series, Nord explains, “I have ADD so started this to deal with my own symptoms and learn and connect with others. I’ve mostly photographed and interviewed queer people, I want to show a different perspective that’s not straight cis men.”
A 2019 graduate from Central Saint Martins with an MA in photography, Nord’s work has been featured on i-D, Paper Journal, Vogue Italia and Document Journal, to name a few.
