A lovely series of drawings by Michigan-based artist Jessica Tenbusch. Inspired by animal and plant species that live near and with humans, Tenbusch’s work is a reflection of these complex relationships and observation on our role as ecosystem builders and destroyers. Incorporating fragments from our daily environment, Tenbusch shows how closely nature is embedded in our homes and lives:
“I play in the space between two-dimensional and three-dimensional representation using colored pencil and acrylic paint to create works on paper. I create pocket universes for my ecosystems to exist and artifacts that reflect our built ecosystem.”
