A selection of recent work by Brooklyn-based artist Dan Perkins (previously featured here). Perkins uses tight looping geometries to create different shapes, planes, and textures that exist in the space between the natural and the digital:
“Starting with images of the natural world, I edit and distill these sources into pure color. The final paintings are recombinations and juxtapositions of these sources, bending and playfully distorting these representations of the natural into seductive luminous forms.”
