Toronto-based artist Kima Lenaghan imagines a parallel dimension wherein humanity has followed an alternative evolutionary path. Here the presumptive wisdom of ‘Homo Sapiens’ (‘wise human’) is replaced with “Homo Conscius” (‘conscious human’) — a profoundly empathic people with traditions, collective dreams, discoveries, afterlife, and human understanding that eclipses our own.
