A selection of digital interventions by Ukrainian artist Klone (previously featured here). Currently based in Tel Aviv, Klone takes personal photos of the various cities and sites he’s travelled around the world and merges them with digital sketches rendered on an iPad. The practice is part of a growing trend of artists using technology to disrupt the cannon of classical muralism. Klone’s own interventions are an effort to challenge and dismantle boundaries as a way of helping to further evolve the practice.
Without the risk of erasure or controversy, the digital realm provides Klone with an eco-friendly way to make his mark as well as to experiment without the restrictions of physics or what’s actually possible. See more images from “The City Always Wins” below.
