Stockholm-based artist Ylva Ceder continues a centuries old Swedish tradition of painting the interior of homes in the county of Dalarna. In the 18th and 19th century houses in this area were decorated specifically for the purpose, filled with different furniture and abstract patterns stemming from Islamic traditional art found in the Middle East. See more of Ceder’s paintings below or on display at C. Grimaldis’ Gallery in Baltimore until December 22nd.
