Transformative work by South African artist Faith47. Her first solo show, Aqua Regalia – Chapter Two, runs from November 19th to December 19th at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York City. “Aqua Regalia” refers to the alchemical process of dissolving gold. Using a variety of materials and techniques (graphite, spray paint, ink, photography, collage, found objects), Faith’s work is concerned with the valuation and transformation of things that have been lost or overlooked.
