I spent the last couple weeks of October out in Tokyo to be a part of the first-ever Pow! Wow! Japan event. Met so many amazing people, some whose work I’d followed for years (like Dave Kinsey), and all the art produced was incredible. This event continues to prove to me that the truly talented people in this world are all the friendliest too.
This enormous 12-storey mural above was painted by Case (who you might remember from our film, Heavy Dreamers) and it was kind of insane because he was only allowed to use the lift until about 3pm everyday because a bus had to park below. Not sure how he finished it in time but I believe he spent 47 hours on it total. He gets the award for largest mural in the history of the Pow! Wow! event.
Case and several other artists have travelled onto Taipei for the first of three city stops in Pow! Wow! Taiwan and many more have joined them.
