Run The Jewels 2 artwork remixed for Meow The Jewels.
One of the best reviewed albums of last year, Killer Mike and El-P’s “Run The Jewels 2”, is being remixed entirely out of cat sounds. El-P joked last year that if someone shelled out $40,000 for a special version of their album he would remix it using cat sounds. The joke became reality when someone started a “Meow The Jewels” Kickstarter and El-P embraced it.
The joke project exploded, attracting producers including Portishead’s Geoff Barrow, Just Blaze, Zola Jesus, Baauer, Prince Paul, Dan The Automator, and the Alchemist.
